Yenn Design focuses on their own brand for 2012

Yenn Design  has already been featured in a habitusliving article: Habitus Loves Beanbags story.  The name of the bean bag mentioned in that article  is appropriately titled, “Big Elephant.”

The design is a four-legged beanbag that has already won numerous awards including the Japan Good Design 2010 award.

The duo met in early 2006 at a workshop on furniture design development by the Department of Export Promotion Thailand.  In 2006, the duo was chosen to exhibit in the Tokyo Interior Lifestyle fair and realizing by then that their way of thinking was a good fit, Yenn Design was born.

The designers like to choose materials that “fit the design” they are being used for.  Their process of design can begin with materials first or design first, it is always an experiment.  Inspiration for Yenn Design is said to come from,”Things that people have forgotten in their everyday life.”

The “Big Elephant” design, or Chang, as it is also called, is a 4-legged beanbag that users can create their own functions for to suit their lifestyle.  It also saves on delivery costs as it can be delivered flat and filled with the beans at the end of the destination.

Yenn Design’s plans for this year are to focus on their own brand, making it well know locally and internationally.
